Description MULTIPLE POSITIONS AVAILABLE Employer: AMAZON.COM SERVICES LLC Offered Position: Quality Assurance Engineer III Job Location: Seattle, Washington Job Number: AMZ9081292 Position Responsibilities: Lead the testing of large-scale web applications, create comprehensive test plans, test cases, and drive continuous improvements to the quality assurance processes using modern web technologies including HTTP, XML, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, RESTful APIs, and cloud services. Develop and maintain automated tests for web user interfaces using industry-standard frameworks such as Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, or Playwright. Implement test scripts using languages like JavaScript, Python, or Java, depending on the chosen framework and project requirements. Design and execute both manual and automated test cases for complex web applications, covering functional, regression, and performance testing. Implement and maintain Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to ensure automated tests are run consistently and efficiently. Work closely with front-end and back-end developers, UX designers, product owners, and customer service professionals throughout the development and testing lifecycle, including requirements gathering and design phases. Consult with and advise project management and development teams on technical issues related to planning, developing, implementing, and modifying testing procedures for web applications. Use functional specifications and user stories to plan, create, and sign off on test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts. Implement best practices for test data management and test environment setup. Provide regular, detailed status reports on project progress, including metrics on test coverage, test cases executed, defects discovered, and defects resolved. Participate in code reviews of test automation scripts to ensure code quality and maintainability. Stay updated with the latest trends and tools in web testing and automation and propose improvements to the existing testing processes and frameworks as needed. Position Requirements: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field and one year of experience in the job offered or related occupation. Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field and five years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience job offered or related occupation as equivalent to the Master's degree and one year of experience. Must have one year of experience in the following skills: 1) using QA methodology and tools; 2) manual testing; 3) automation testing; and 4) delivering test frameworks, test tools, leading QA projects and initiatives.
