13262BRJob Description:United States Steel Corporation has an immediate opening for a Quality Systems Engineer in our Quality Management System/Corporate Quality Assurance organization.
The position is responsible for managing, maintaining and continually improving the Company’s Quality Management System to ensure business processes and procedures are in compliance with customer and societal quality standards. This position will be based at our Great Lakes location with additional responsibility at the Troy Automotive Center. The position will involve occasional travel.
Responsibilities include the following:
+ Understanding of the Quality Management System policies and procedures including Core Tools, the electronic systems and overall information flow that supports the system
+ Responsible for successful deployment of Quality Management System to support compliance to ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 as well as Customer Specific Requirements
+ Participate and drive an internal audit program
+ Manage relevant concepts including corrective action, continual improvement, change point management & management review processes
+ Coordinate with Operations, Quality, Maintenance and other departments to ensure training competencies, implement corrective/preventative actions and develop effective practices and procedures
+ Support Customer Technical Service and Sales in maintaining their pertinent pieces of the Quality Management System
Requirements:
+ Bachelor’s degree in related field
+ Minimum 2 years of experience Quality Management Systems, including ISO 9001 and/or IATF 16949
+ Minimum five years of experience in manufacturing
+ Minimum two years of experience with AIAG IATF Core Tools
+ Minimum one year of experience internal Quality Systems auditing
+ Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Requirements:
+ Strong Technical Writing, Communication and Organizational Skills
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
+ Level and compensation based on experience.
