Quality Assurance Engineer

Location: Ballston Spa, NY

Salary Range: $75,000 – $85,000

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm or 7:00am–3:30pm

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure the highest standards of quality in our electronic manufacturing projects. This role serves as the primary liaison with customers and plays a key part in maintaining compliance with ISO and regulatory standards. You’ll be actively involved in audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer & Project-SpecificServe as the primary quality contact for customers.Resolve audit findings and maintain clear communication with stakeholders.Participate in customer audits, meetings, and field inspections.Ensure all products meet customer specifications and quality standards.Quality Assurance & ComplianceMaintain compliance with ISO standards and regulatory requirements.Report on quality system performance and suggest improvements.Implement and monitor quality processes.Review and validate test procedures and reports.Supplier & Material QualityConduct First Article Inspections (FAI) for electronic components.Perform supplier audits and evaluations.Enforce non-conforming material processes and corrective actions.Inspect incoming/outgoing materials for compliance.Maintain quality records using SAP.Required Qualifications2+ years of experience with an engineering degree (Industrial, Systems, Electrical).Experience in automotive, transit/rail, or aerospace/defense industries.Prior experience managing quality programs.ISO certification experience and compliance knowledge.Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Preferred SkillsRoot cause analysis and quality inspection expertise.Knowledge of Six Sigma, Kaizen, and ISO 9001.Experience in electronics manufacturing and quality control.Work EnvironmentManufacturing setting near Ballston Spa, NY.Team includes a Quality Manager, Technicians, and a Lead.Collaborative and growth-oriented environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $85000.00/yr.
