The Opportunity | QA Engineer - India
You will implement and maintain the quality assurance management system, protocols and methods for the processing of materials into partially finished or finished products. Responsible for planning, implementing and managing compliance of manufacturing and production processes to internal and external safety, quality and regulatory Aerospace standards.
Perform analysis of reports and production data to identify trends and recommend updates or changes to quality standards and procedures when necessary. Assure compliance to in-house and/or external design specifications, standards, technical instructions and provide product assurance documentation as required.
Your Challenge:
• Develop, apply and revise, when necessary, quality standards for receiving, in-process and final inspection in accordance with company and contractual requirements.
• Review and evaluates in-process rejections, obtains disposition and implements corrective action as needed.
• Interface with vendors and various departments, sites, when required to resolve quality issue.
• Participate in 3rd party site audits from accreditation and Customer parties.
• Design, manage and conduct internal audits against the site quality assurance management system.
• Design manage and conduct regular process audits within the assembly processes.
• May prepare and provide product assurance documentation as required by either local or customer programs.
• Support product compliance with regards to EC 1907/2006 REACH SVHC, TSCA and PFAS identification.
• Performs analysis of reports and production data to identify trends and recommend updates or changes to quality standards and procedures when necessary.
Your Expertise:
• Degree (or equivalent) either Engineering or Quality standard
• A good understanding in Aerospace and/or Defense industry quality standard AS9100
• Good amount of prior experience in similar role in an Aerospace and/or Defense industry ideally but experience in other regulated industries would be considered
• Good knowledge and practice in structured problem-solving tools and techniques, defect prevention tools and techniques.
