To achieve this vision, we are in search of a talented technical leader and craftsman who builds robust software that scales as well as client-facing features which are intuitive and simple to use. Our team takes a world view of payments for all of Amazon and builds highly customized and seamless payment experiences for our global customers. This focus on geography and customer requires working on different technologies such as Android, React Native, React JS, Cloud, and back-end platform systems to meet the needs of our customers. Our back-end systems are always available and guarantee that our customer’s orders are never lost and always processed even when downstream services are down. Our team is highly motivated and in need of a quality assurance engineer who can take the technical reigns of the team and steer them in the direction of our vision. As a Quality Assurance Engineer on the UPX Tech Team, you will collaborate with developers, product managers and customer support to identify unambiguous software requirements, understand all features and their implementation details, understand customer usage models and then develop and execute strategies to get that software into our customer’s hands in an efficient and high-quality fashion. Our preferred candidate possesses a high level of coding aptitude combined with a demonstrated passion for Quality Assurance. Our QAE's test code at the user level, both manually and with automated tools. Our QAE's are not just black box testers; they understand the software internals, debug problems using log files, and write automated tests using a variety of frameworks. This person will be a key voice in the design and coding phases. They will define and implement quality gates for code changes and deliver on the promise that our user’s experience will be continually maintained or improved. You will develop high-quality test automation to drive lower operational costs and faster deployments.
