Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough inspections of incoming raw materials and finished products to verify they meet quality specifications and standards.
Perform visual and dimensional checks using various measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, tape measures) to identify defects, damage, or non-conforming items.
Document and report all inspection results, including any deviations or non-conformances, using a detailed quality control log or database.
Isolate and tag defective products, coordinating with the warehouse or production team to ensure they're properly quarantined and addressed.
Collaborate with production, shipping, and receiving teams to identify the root cause of quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Maintain a clean and organized inspection area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly calibrated and stored.
Assist in the development and improvement of quality control procedures and standards.
Participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay updated on product specifications and quality protocols.
Working hours: Various Shifts Available
Skills:
Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS): Familiarity with systems like ISO 9001, which are used to manage quality processes and continuous improvement.
Technical Knowledge: The ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, or product schematics to understand precise specifications.
Forklift Certification: A valid license to operate a forklift, which can be useful for moving and inspecting large pallets or items.
Statistical Process Control (SPC): Knowledge of using statistical methods to monitor and control a process to ensure it operates at its full potential.
Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma: An understanding of these methodologies to help identify waste and improve efficiency within the quality inspection process.
Team Leadership: Prior experience in leading or mentoring junior inspectors or a small team.
