The Analyst - QA is responsible for ensuring the quality of software being delivered by the IT Applications Team. This includes the use of both manual and automated testing to ensure that software not only functions as the end user expects but also that software is in compliance with Ryan standards.

Duties and responsibilities, as they align to Ryan’s Key Results

People:

Create a positive team member experience.Provides feedback to Business Analysts to ensure that requirements are clear and specific enough to convey the needs of the business.

Client:

Responds to client inquiries and requests from tax authorities.

Value:

Develops, executes and maintains test plansReads and translates requirements into meaningful manual and automated test casesAble to write test scripts using Automation tool (Katalon)Executes test plans and provides meaningful feedback on resultsWorks with Application developers to resolve issues and document bugsUse DevOps to document issues and enhancements in the appropriate mannerMaintains a schedule of testing across multiple software applications to ensure prompt feedback to developersDevelops and maintains documentation for all testing activitiesAssumes responsibility for the quality and compliance with standards and requirements for all Ryan applicationsAlerts the Product team to potential issues in a constant feedback loopPerforms other duties as needed and assignedRegression testing of the applications during the application release.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems is preferred or equivalent work experience.  Two to three years of hands-on administration experience with Software Quality Assurance and issue documentation.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have advanced knowledge of Microsoft® Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; strong analytical skills; strong oral and written communication skills; and excellent customer service skills and attitude. Experience with SQL is a plus.

Certificates and Licenses:

Valid driver's license required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment:

Standard indoor working environmentOccasional long periods of sitting while working at computerPosition requires regular interaction with employees at all levels of the Firm and interface with external vendors as necessaryIndependent travel requirement: less than 10%
