The Supplier Quality Associate will be responsible for ensuring that all products manufactured by Carrier meet our high standards of quality and reliability for internal and customer issues identified. The successful candidate will be able to support the Quality Team by identifying defects and non-conformities in products, as well as identify opportunities for process improvement through layered process audits. **Key Responsibilities:** + Provide first response and containment for supplier quality issues on the line + Perform PPAP administration in Prism and follow up to ensure supplier compliance and communication + Support scrap process at 3PL – confirming scrap and writing tickets for approval from the department approver + Create non-conformance reports for suppliers and issue charge backs per standard work + Perform layered process audits within production + Material Traceability Reporting creation and maintenance. + Back-up for creating Job Folders + Develop and maintain all quality records and documentation in accordance with established quality policies, regulations, standards, and customer requirements. + Back-up Final Auditor for production floor. **Competencies:** + Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques and manufacturing quality tools. + Advanced written communication skills + Basic management skills, including planning and organization, decision making, problem solving, and project management. + Advanced verbal communication skills, including participation in group presentations to all levels of management, customers, and suppliers. + Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers, supervisors, technical support, and employees. + Ability to stand/walk 8 hours a day with appropriate breaks + Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. + Required to be comfortable with climbing ladder stand >10ft high, using fall restraints **Required Qualifications:** + High School Diploma or GED + 2+ years related experience in a manufacturing environment **Preferred Qualifications:** + 2-year Associates or Technical degree (preferred) or combination of education and related work experience (required). + Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a dynamic, high-pressure environment + Working knowledge of basic Microsoft Software, and/or Oracle and SAP experience. + Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects and non-conformities. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams + Knowledge of quality management systems, such as ISO 9001, preferred + Familiarity with manufacturing processes and equipment, such as automated assembly lines, preferred + Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications + Experience in using Continuous Improvement (CI) tools to deliver continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment + Demonstrated ability in the use of appropriate problem-solving tools including root cause analysis + Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to facilitate and motivate teams + Technical knowledge / understanding of commercial HVAC manufacturing processes. \#LI-Onsite RSRCAR **_Carrier is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
