As a Senior Quality & Reliability Advisor, you will serve as a strategic leader, championing continuous improvement in equipment integrity, maintenance processes, and overall system reliability. You will ensure strict adherence to Kodiak’s quality and safety standards across its compression fleet, aftermarket services, and operational hubs.
**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**
**Reliability Engineering & Data Analytics**
Analyze compressor performance and failure trends to prioritize maintenance and lifecycle planning.
Leverage Kodiak’s real-time monitoring systems to proactively identify and address issues before they impact uptime.
**Quality Management & Continuous Improvement**
Develop and refine Q&R programs, leveraging best practices like root cause analysis, FMEA, and RCM.
Lead audits, KPIs, and critical risk reviews to elevate mechanical availability beyond the industry-standard 98%.
Collaborate with supply chain and aftermarket teams to ensure parts quality and supplier performance
**Operational Support across the Fleet**
Standardize reliability practices across regions—from the Permian Basin to the Marcellus—covering both Kodiak- and customer-owned assets.
Partners with engineering and operations teams to optimize commissioning, decommissioning, and enhanced oil recovery (EOR)/gas-lift applications.
**Safety & Regulatory Compliance**
Align Q&R processes with safety protocols and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) objectives.
Support incident investigations and integrate quality learnings into future operational practices.
**Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing**
Train and mentor field reliability engineers and technicians, including through Kodiak’s BEARS training academy.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, data-driven decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration.
**Education & Certifications**
+ Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
+ Possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License with clean driving record and have reliable transportation
+ Ability to pass the required physical examination, including drug and alcohol screening (scheduled and random)
**Work Experience**
+ Minimum of eight years in quality & reliability roles within oil & gas, midstream, or compression services.
+ Hands-on experience with rotating machinery (compressors, engines), RCM, and predictive maintenance techniques.
**Skills & Abilities**
+ Able to learn thoroughly and gain a proficient technical knowledge of compression and key components of a gas compressor package such as reciprocating and rotary screw natural gas compressors, natural gas-powered engines, and electric driven packages
+ Proficient in reliability tools (e.g., FMEA, RCA), data analytics, and KPI frameworks.
+ Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
+ Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Dynamics, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
**Physical Demands**
+ Predominantly operates in an office environment. Some periods of time may be spent in a communications equipment space for installation, testing, and troubleshooting. Some work (less than 10%) requires frequent bending, moving, and lifting.
+ Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, power tools, and other computer components.
+ Up to 25% of travel required.
