The Quality Engineer is responsible for Transition Quality, coordinating with Sending Site Quality team and deploying work instructions/procedures and associated process controls. Quality Engineer will be responsible for analyzing, implementing and coordinating scrap reduction and quality improvement projects. Will be responsible for FAI/PPAP.
• Implement new Quality System that meets internal, customer, and industry requirements.
• Apply quality engineering toolset to ensure manufacturing process capability, including use of FMEA, control plan, MSA, process validation techniques
• Identify organizational training needs and execute training on subjects relating to customer requirements
• Facilitate dialog with customers and internal Eaton team to understand and resolve potential product quality issues through Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA)
• Handling on Calibration & CMM.
• Implements measures to improve inspection methods, equipment/tool performance, product quality, efficiency and morale.
• Execute other duties as assigned
• GD&T, Gauging, SPC, APQP,PPAP, MSA,RCCA, inspection techniques
• ISO 9001, AS9100, NADCAP quality assurance systems
• Strong analytical, project management, organizational, and time management skills
• Certified Internal Quality Auditor (AS9100) preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, from production associates to the leadership team
• Demonstrated leadership skills
Bachelor degree in mechanical, industrial, or aerospace engineering
5+ years of experience in Quality function in an aerospace industry
