Quality Analyst 2

Emerson is looking to add a Quality Analyst 2 to our Knoxville, TN location.   You will lead the RS Knoxville Internal Quality Audit Program, Corrective/Preventive Action System, Quality Documentation Process and the Calibration system.     In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: Quality Management System  Drive restructure of QMS procedures and work instructions into functional areas Manage surveillance and recertification audits in regard to ISO 9001:2015. Schedule and administer internal audits Manage and host regulatory and customer audits Lead the RS Knoxville Internal Quality Audit program and develop necessary checklists, procedures, QA records, etc., as needed. Investigate and resolve assembly and test problems, working with Design Engineering, Quality Assurance, sub-contractors and Purchasing as required. Perform Root Cause Analysis for production, RMA, DOAs and field failures, recommend and drive improvement actions. Work with Supply Chain regarding contract manufacturing and provide feedback on quality improvements  Lead the material Non-Conformance Reporting system and identify the most appropriate material disposition and actions, internally and externally, to ensure the highest quality is maintained.  Facilitate Corrective and Preventive actions by assisting personnel with responses to CARs, identification of training needs, adequacy of procedures, improvement of processes and integration of additional departments into quality system when required. Management of Calibration System for Measuring and Test Equipment. Responsible for production and control of quality related documents i.e. manuals, procedures, certificates, etc. Review nonstandard customer contracts with appropriate customer service departments, review documentation required and generate applicable quality documentation. Develop and conduct ISO Quality System and Database Training and maintain employee Quality training records. Develop, modify, and communicate procedures and changes to ensure compliance with ISO/IEC 80079-34 Standard requirements. (ATEX / IECEx) Quality responsible for review and implementation of Ex related QMS Requirements Approve Engineering/Manufacturing Change Orders (ECO/MCO), review QC Test Procedures for requirements, and apply changes to master list documents as required. For This Role, You Will Need: Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Technical field required.  Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred. Minimum of five years’ experience in a Quality Assurance environment within the areas of electronics manufacturing, software and/or instrumentation.  Certified auditor or equivalent experience.                       Knowledge and experience in ISO 9001:2015 and/or other Management System auditing, implementation and maintenance.  Computer Requirements include – Proficiency in MS Office applications
  Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart: Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization. Strong working knowledge of statistical tools and quantitative methods, including but not limited to process capability studies, statistical process control, design of experiments, and critical to quality characteristics.  Ability to understand engineering documentation and drawings. Ability to maintain positive working relationships with all work associates. Ability to maintain good customer relations.
