Aspire People
Job description SEND Teacher - Specialist Provision for Young Women (SEMH / SEND)
Role: SEND General Teacher
Key Stage: KS3/KS4
Start Date: October 2025
Location: Bedfordshire
Are you a resilient and compassionate teacher looking for a deeply rewarding role? Do you have the confidence and adaptability to support young women who have experienced significant trauma and adversity?
If you're committed to helping every learner access education in a meaningful way, we'd like to hear from you.
Aspire People is working in partnership with a highly specialised provision in Bedfordshire, dedicated to supporting young women who are currently unable to attend mainstream education. These students have experienced various forms of disruption in their early lives, which often present as strong behavioural challenges and a mistrust of authority figures.
Class sizes are small (maximum of 10 students) and individual ability levels vary depending on personal circumstances. The ideal teacher will bring creativity, structure, and patience into the classroom, while offering a consistent and calm approach to behaviour management.
What We're Looking For:
We are seeking a committed and experienced teacher who can offer:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with recent experience in either secondary or upper primary education
* A proven ability to deliver the National Curriculum or alternative pathways creatively and flexibly
* Experience supporting students with complex emotional and behavioural needs
* The confidence to build trust and maintain strong, respectful boundaries with students
* A collaborative and reflective approach to working within a multi-disciplinary team
* A valid driving licence (essential, due to the location of the provision)
Why Join This School?
* Be part of a close-knit, supportive team making a real difference
* Work in small classes where you can tailor your teaching to meet individual needs
* Take on a role that is both challenging and immensely rewarding
* Access ongoing CPD and professional support from the school and Aspire People
This is more than just a teaching role - it's an opportunity to support and empower some of the most vulnerable young people in our community. If you're ready for the challenge and want to be part of a dedicated team, apply today or call Aspire People on 01234 394 781 to find out more.
Aspire People Limited is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All appointments will be subject to enhanced DBS checks and suitable references.
