Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Developmental Disabilities Professional (QDDP) to ensure that each child receives a comprehensive, person-centered active treatment program. The QDDP serves as the central communicator for students' treatment plans, collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, and ensures that individualized programs are consistently implemented and documented.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Coordination & Student Support

Develop, review, and implement Individualized Program Plans (IPP/ITP) based on comprehensive assessments.Conduct Functional Life Skills assessments such as the Ansell Casey and Sensory Integration Inventory-Revised.Monitor and analyze student progress; adjust plans and strategies as needed to meet evolving needs.Engage with students in a variety of therapeutic settings, supporting skill development and independence.Facilitate group sessions by leading interactive discussions and organizing engaging activities that promote participation and connection.Provide effective crisis intervention and de-escalation support during emotional or behavioral outbursts to ensure safety and promote positive outcomes.

Team Collaboration & Communication

Train and support program staff in the consistent and effective implementation of IPP/ITP goals.Coordinate interdisciplinary meetings (IEP, TTR, team staffing) and collaborate closely with therapists, teachers, case managers, and other team members to ensure cohesive support planning.Advocate for students' needs while balancing programmatic, medical, dietary, and vocational supports.

Compliance & Documentation

Ensure compliance with COA standards, contractual requirements, and internal policies.Prepare monthly, quarterly, and NYTD progress reports; manage data collection and documentation systems.Lead discharge planning efforts, promoting positive transitions for students

Training & Staff Development

Provide ongoing staff training on student-specific treatment plans and behavioral strategies.Serve as a resource during new employee orientation and offer continuing education opportunities.

Schedule:

Primarily day shift with flexibility meet program needs.Must be able to respond to emergency situations promptly.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, Education, or Psychology (from an accredited program).Minimum one year of experience working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (IDD).

Required Skills & Attributes:Experience in therapeutic residential settings supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and psychiatric disorders.Strong communication, leadership, organizational skills and crisis management abilities.Ability to develop and monitor individualized treatment plans.Ability to remain calm under pressure and effectively de-escalate crises.

Additional Requirements:Must be at least 21 years old.Must possess a valid Indiana driver’s license and maintain an acceptable driving record.Ability to supervise, monitor, and support students across a variety of settings.Must be able to implement approved physical intervention techniques and assist with student activities.
