We’re proud to be delivering the Queensland Train Manufacturing Program (QTMP), and we’re looking for the best people to help make it happen. 

QTMP involves the design, manufacture and maintenance of 65 new six-car passenger trains to support Cross River Rail and the 2032 Brisbane Olympic and Paralympic Games. These trains will be built at a new, purpose-built facility in Torbanlea on the Fraser Coast. 

Expressions of Interest are now open for roles on QTMP for 2026 and beyond.

The role at a glance

This hands-on role is essential to the smooth operation of the production line, working closely with qualified tradespeople to ensure efficient and safe assembly processes.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare materials, tools, components and assist in other duties for daily production activities Set up, maintain, and clean work areas to support a safe and organised workspace Operate a range of equipment including overhead cranes, forklifts and vehicle shifters Support maintenance activities and assist with the operation of equipment related to facility assets and infrastructure

Ability to work unsupervised and within a team environment.
