QC Supervisor
Amentum
The Quality Supervisor will be primarily based at one of the Amentum sites in Iraq and serve the Operations and Maintenance Support Services (OMSS) contract and Baghdad Life Support Services (BLiSS) contract in support of the U.S. Department of State.
This position will be responsible for Quality Assurance and Quality Control; under general direction, uses specialized knowledge or skills to solve complex and unique problems, or direct the daily activities of a business, technical support, or functional support team. Provides technical expertise in support of the Quality program, including specialized inspection and testing techniques, quality training, statistical methods, audits, quality tools for problem solving and assessment, and will report directly to the Quality Assurance Manager and indirectly to the Site Manager.
The duties and responsibilities listed below are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive.
**DUTIES:**
+ Responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring that safety is the highest priority in the workplace.
+ Comply with all Environmental Health & Safety and Quality Assurance and Quality Control requirements and goals. Provide information and materials to these divisions as necessary to ensure adequate and legal documentation.
+ Apply knowledge of quality systems and tools to validate and verify contractually required standards for program/contract execution, to include writing quality operating procedures, other documents, and forms in support of the quality control plan, audit/inspection checklists, and coordinating with functional areas for development of standard operating procedures.
+ Ensure effective auditing/inspection activities are in place for verifying compliance with established quality standard of products/services and and materials that go into work.
+ Perform audits/inspections and produce audit/inspection reports stating the conditions of a work area to ensure contract compliance is met and request corrective action when needed.
+ Timely prepare and provide any required reports to management.
+ Maintain audit/inspection schedule, and accurate QA/Q records, database, etc.
+ Collect and analyze compliance data to determine trends.
+ Maintain effective and professional relations with supervisory and managerial personnel, and DOS / DOD representatives.
+ Identify and support continuous improvement initiatives. Direct resources, determine and distribute work assignments and responsibilities, supervise and guide employees to ensure a common objective is achieved and they perform their duties effectively.
+ Monitor employee performance and attendance and implement disciplinary actions if necessary.
+ Perform additional tasks and special projects as needed, identified, and assigned.
**REQUIRED:**
+ **Minimum Acceptable Experience Level:**
+ Five (5) years’ experience in Quality Control and Quality Assurance
+ **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:**
+ Knowledge of Quality Management, principles and processes involved in supporting contract responsibilities at an overseas facility.
+ Previous successful supervisory work experience.
+ Ability to collect, analyze and summarize data and to prepare clear and concise reports.
+ Experience in effectively dealing with international and headquarters staff.
+ Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and administrative details in a fast paced and constantly changing environment; rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules.
+ Exercise sound judgement and make decisions independently.
+ Cross-cultural sensitivity with an international perspective.
+ Expert computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Word and Excel.
+ Ability to become an active and functioning member of a team.
+ Ability to be innovative and be an agent for change.
+ Expert communication skills to facilitate and disseminate information.
+ **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Education may be substituted for years of practical experience within the related field of discipline, two years of experience for every year of education.
+ **Passport, Licenses and Certifications:** As part of pre-contingency requirements, **by the time the visa process starts** , candidates must possess a valid passport of home country with a minimum of 18 months remaining to expiration date with 8 blank pages. Valid drivers’ license from Home of Record.
+ **Security Vetting:** Already possess a US Government issued security clearance or Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT) or be able to obtain a favorable MRPT certification or US Government clearance prior to being hired is required for the position. Must maintain eligibility at the required certification or clearance level for the duration of the contract.
+ **Language Skills:** Satisfactory English proficiency to meet job requirements and to adhere and comply with safety, health, and security measures.
+ **Medical:** Successfully complete and pass the medical and dental examinations as required by Amentum and our customer for deployment to Iraq. Must maintain physical and dental requirements for duration of deployment.
**DESIRED:**
+ Department of State or Department of Defense work experience
+ Two (2) years of international experience in challenging locations, preferably working in the Middle East, with a working knowledge of customs and cultural differences.
+ Certification in Quality Management field, e.g., ASQ, Six Sigma.
+ Knowledge in the discipline of Life Services Support projects in an international environment
+ Experience working with Amentum.
**WORKING AND LIVING CONDITIONS:**
This position may be located in a war zone, in an environment with harsh and dangerous working and living conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may regularly be exposed to extreme and austere desert-like environment. Temperatures can reach 120- 130 degrees Fahrenheit/50-55 degrees Celsius during the summer months. Employees must be willing and able to perform regular job requirements in this austere, extreme environment, as well as willing and able to deploy to Iraq for extended periods. Work schedules are a minimum of 6 days per week and 10 hours per day, while some jobs have higher daily and weekly minimums. Employees must be willing and able to perform physical activities including, but not limited to, heavy lifting and moving of items, parts, assemblies, and equipment up to the safety regulation maximum; climbing in and out of equipment; crawling; and working outdoors. This includes being able to lift and carry 40 pounds of personal protective equipment for extended periods of time and being capable of running and ‘duck & cover’ during emergencies without putting oneself or others at risk.
