How will you make an impact?

The QC Scientist I will operate in a high-throughput environment, completing routine activities in accordance with cGMP regulations and ThermoFisher standards to meet both departmental and client goals. This position supports the Bioassay team, which tests compendial, A280, and plate based or enzymatic assays within the analytical team. The scientist will support qualification assays, perform transfer and validation assays, batch release, process and facility support testing to meet client needs.

What will you do?

• Support lab testing for various products

• Use various computer based systems to track work and samples

• Perform analysis and troubleshooting of assays

• Implement improvement projects

• Other job duties as assigned

How will you get here?

• Minimum of an Bachelors degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry or related fields

• Bachelor’s degree in science related field is a plus but not required

• Experience working in a GMP regulated environment preferred

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Knowledge of GMP regulations

• Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP)

• Able to read, write, and communicate in English.

• Able to use standard computer programs such as SmartSheet, PowerBI, MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

• Able to encourage innovation and team efficiency.

• Able to work in an evolving environment and adapt to a variety of internal customer’s needs

• Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills.

• Strong communication skills including active listening, facilitation, and critical issue assessment

• Enjoys collaborative efforts both internal and external to the department

Physical Requirements / Work Environment:

Wear gloves and other PPE to enter laboratory spaces

Sit for extended periods of time. This role requires a lot of desk time and meeting time.
