Job DescriptionWorks and communicates effectively with QC personnel and members of other departments (Manufacturing, Customer Support, Development, Maintenance, and Logistics)Understands and follows documents relevant to responsibilities, e.g., Work flows, Work Instructions, Checklists, Batch Records, and LogsMakes Quality Control decisions according to the company's specifications in a time-sensitive manner after completion of training and demonstration of proficiencyIs able to multi-task product analysis while paying close attention to detailEnsures proper daily operation of automated equipmentKeeps equipment and work environment clean, organized, and ready for useHas the ability to troubleshoot and correct commonly encountered issues with laboratory equipmentMaintains accurate production records according to requirements and in compliance with established Quality System standardsMaintains consistent quality and efficiency in all work processesFollows all relevant company health, safety and regulatory policies, including handling of hazardous materials and wearing of proper PPE (personal protective equipment)Completes applicable on-site training programs successfullyPerforms other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

Requirements:

BS or HS degree or equivalentProven ability to follow written and oral instructionsAbility to perform under pressure in a fast paced enviornmentIs prepared to work overtime during shifts other than the one assigned or weekends, if requestedProven ability to work well in a team with little supervisionAbility to lift 35+ pounds

Preferences:

Previous experience working in an ISO-9000 or cGMP environmentPrevious experience in MALDI_TOF, mass spectrometry, ESI mass spectrometry, Capillary Gel Electrophoresis, and HPLC is a plus but not necessaryPrevious experience working with general laboratory equipmentMicrosoft Windows and Excel proficiency and experience using lab specific softwarePrevious experience working with Hazardous Chemicals
