Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Quality Control Lab Analyst to join our growing team. This role involves conducting GC testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished goods. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the quality and safety of our products.
Responsibilities
Prepare samples across various matrices and run calibration curves and system suitability tests.Perform wet chemistry tests, including pH, titrations, and loss on drying (LOD).Provide first-line instrument care, such as column maintenance and addressing leaks and pump seals, following IQ/OQ/PQ guidelines.Conduct basic troubleshooting and maintenance of laboratory instruments.Support method validation work, focusing on accuracy, precision, LOD, and LOQ.Flexibly support lab needs, including inventory management, lab cleanup, and notebook peer review.Draft and review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).Essential Skills
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry is necessary; a Master's degree in Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry is preferred.3-5 years of experience in a QC lab within the food or supplement industry.Demonstrated independent operation of HPLC and GC.Experience with natural product or lipid-rich matrices, including small molecule testing like vitamins, fats, emulsifiers, and actives.Working knowledge of USP/AOAC methods and cGMP documentation.Proficiency in chromatography software such as OpenLab and ChemStation.Strong lab safety mindset and approach to work.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience as a bench lab analyst or chemist.Proficiency in titration and wet chemistry.Experience with ICP-MS.Work Environment
The position is based in a laboratory/manufacturing setting. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, with working hours from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm or 9 am to 5 pm. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
