Job Title: QC Data ReviewerJob Description
The QC Chemistry Data Reviewer will be responsible for overseeing a team of 14 chemists and lab technicians. This role involves testing finished products, raw materials, and ANDA products within the lab. You will complete data reviews, and assist in audits and investigations concerning deviations that occur during daily testing for pharmaceutical products.
Responsibilities
+ Check work conducted by chemists testing finished products, raw materials, in-process samples, components, and stability study samples.
+ Test new ANDA products, primarily Oral Dose products, and assist in testing samples including oral rinses and antiseptics using titrations, pH, specific gravity, and HPLC.
+ Conduct tests as needed with HPLC, GC, TOC, FT-IR, UV-Vis, and pH meters.
+ Inspect supplies and ingredients used for the production of pharmaceutical products.
+ Review SOPs and lab protocols for accuracy.
+ Perform some instrument validation as needed.
+ Adhere to GMP and FDA guidelines.
Essential Skills
+ 3-5+ years of experience with HPLC/GC and Pharma/cGMP.
+ Bachelor’s degree with a major in Chemistry.
+ Preferred 4 years of pharmaceutical industry experience with hands-on GC, HPLC, FTIR, and wet chemistry (titration) experience.
+ Good working knowledge of GMP and GDP.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Good handwriting for laboratory notebook documentation.
+ Preferred knowledge of Agilent OpenLab software.
Work Environment
The position is based in a QC Lab at a pharmaceutical company specializing in oral rinse and antiseptic solutions, as well as other pharmaceutical products. The work primarily focuses on new ANDA products within the Oral Dose division. The company is rapidly expanding, having recently acquired a new building across the street and developing a new lab site in Lake Villa. The work schedule is during the 1st shift, from 8 AM to 4 PM or 9 AM to 5 PM.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $36.00/hr.
