Job Title: QC Chemist

Job Description

Perform analytical analysis within the QC Laboratory on raw materials, in-process goods, and finished products according to USP standards and guidelines. The role requires proficiency in techniques such as HPLC, GC, GC Headspace, titrations, IR, and others.

Responsibilities

Conduct analytical testing with a focus on GC and HPLC on a consistent daily basis.Prepare standards and create sample solutions from various manufacturing stages, including bulk, tank, and post-packaging samples.Dilute or extract samples, treat them with reagents, and weigh them on an analytical balance.Run samples through GC and HPLC, ensuring repeatability by running standards multiple times.Perform algebraic calculations to determine area concentration of samples.Record results and maintain documentation following cGMP requirements.Take appropriate action upon determining non-compliance and report observations to the Quality Control Manager.Conduct stability tests to support temperature stability programs and ensure accurate data reporting.Prepare and maintain standard solutions and lab equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and calibration.Review production records, specifications, and test methods as required.Participate in validations and qualifications, and evaluate raw materials for alternate sources and R&D efforts.Conduct in-process line checks as needed.

Essential Skills

Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or related field OR at least 5 years of experience in lieu of degree.Minimum of 1 year of GMP, FDA, or GLP experience preferred.Minimum of 1 year of experience with HPLC or GC preferred.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Proficiency in quality control, titration, pH testing, laboratory analytics, wet chemistry, and analytical chemistry.Familiarity with GLP practices.

Work Environment

Work in a chemistry lab. Standard hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m./5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Occasional Saturday work may be required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jackson, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $27.00/hr.
