The position of QC Technician is within our Toxicology Business United located at Santa Rosa, CA at Redwood Toxicology Lab. This role will be instrumental in supporting production to the provision of accurate and timely results to our clients. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated individual, a cross-functional team-player, and adept at multitasking. In addition to possessing a strong attention to detail and capable following verbal instructions and written protocols to complete assigned tasks. Duties and responsibilities are listed below. Other duties may be assigned.
Schedule: Monday thru Friday 8am to 4:30pm, with possible Over-Time
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs daily Quality Control tasks as assigned by SupervisorCommunicates timelines & reports issues as they arisePrepares solutions, standards, and samplesAnalyzes, calculates, records, and reports dataPackages approved solutions as indicated in the SOPTakes Inventory of stock standards, solutions, & reagentsEnsures test solutions are available to production area without interruptionCleans up and maintains equipment and analytical areaDocuments quality control activities using GDPAssists in investigations of production and quality control issuesMay support in creation/optimization of quality control documentation & processSupports production as neededPrepares and sets out proficiency samples for testingBASIC QUALIFICATIONS | EDUCATION:
1-2 years of related experience in GMP manufacturing environmentKnowledge of LC/MS/MS & GC/MSCompetent in aliquotingRead, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and/or government regulatory guidelines. Ability to read reports, effectively present information, and respond to questions from peers and management.Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as dilutions, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Experience:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Life Science from a four-year college or university. Prefer Chemistry, Biology or related field of study.The candidate should have a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook; Experience using Databases & Instrumentation Software a plus.WHAT WE OFFER

The base pay for this position is $22.05 – $44.15 per hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
