Job Description
The QC Chemist will be responsible for conducting routine and advanced testing within a specific group or department. This role involves operating specialized equipment and participating in investigation activities to ensure quality control in pharmaceutical settings.
ResponsibilitiesConduct routine testing or other analysis within a specific group or department.Perform advanced and critical testing as required.Operate specialized equipment for testing purposes.Participate in investigation activities.Essential SkillsHands-on experience with ICP-MS, ICP-OES, UV, HPLC, GC, IC, and Dissolution instruments.Proficiency in operating computer and analytical instrument software such as Empower, Chromeleon, Lab solutions, and LIMS.Analytic skills in pharmaceutical chemistry using HPLC for 2-15 years.Additional Skills & QualificationsMust have a life science related degree, preferably in chemistry.Knowledge of Karl Fisher, GMP, wet chemistry, UV Vis, titration, and GC analysis.Work Environment
The QC Chemist will work in a cGMP laboratory or manufacturing environment, conducting QC testing for newly approved products and new license transfers, primarily using HPLC and dissolution methods. The role operates Monday through Friday, from 8:30 am to 5 pm, with optional overtime available on weekends. Personal protective equipment, such as uniforms, lab coats, safety glasses, respiratory protective equipment, and hearing protection, is required due to exposure to solvents, powders, or other materials commonly found in pharmaceutical settings.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
