QA/QC Technician

Job Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES:  

Inspect raw materials as necessary. 

Verify raw material CoAs are received, and the test results conform to listed specifications. 

Test internally made batches to product-specific specifications. 

Make minor adjustments to correct out-of-specification batches. Coordinate with QC Manager and/or Chemists on larger or novel batch adjustments. 

Manage storage and disposition of product and retain samples generated in the facility. 

Collaborate with R&D chemists on new product development and offset raw material considerations. 

Maintain a clean, orderly lab utilizing 5S principles. 

Conduct Internal and Process Audits as needed. 

Develop a detailed understanding of the facility’s manufacturing environment. 

Promote, support, and adhere to all safety, environmental, and quality-related policies and procedures in the facility. 

 

SKILLS, AND COMPENTECES: 

Previous quality control testing/equivalent lab experience preferred. 

Previous experience in chemical or adhesive manufacturing facility preferred. 

Ability to work overtime (Saturdays) required. (*Typical Saturday hours are 6am – 11am but occasionally a full shift may be necessary (6am – 2:30pm).  

Understanding of basic mathematical operations. addition, subtraction, multiplication, & division. 

Ability to follow documented procedures and work instructions. 

Ability to perform multiple tests simultaneously and to internal standards. 

Ability to communicate effectively through email / text, and in-person. 

Ability to enter inspection data into a collection database. 

Ability to work on your feet for stretches of time and do light lifting (10 lbs.) required. 

Bilingual (English / Spanish) preferred.
