The QA Inspector must partner with manufacturing operations to provide outstanding customer service and quality inspections to meet customer shipment expectations in a Final Assembly Operation. The QA Inspector will be engaged throughout the production process, including receiving, manufacturing, and final inspection. The QA Inspector will interact with the functional areas, including Receiving, Production, Purchasing, Engineering, and Field Service/Repair to evaluate product Quality problems, and when necessary, assist in Root Cause Analysis and Preventive Action determination. In this role you will perform documented inspections in the verification of conformance of parts to applicable drawings, procedures, specifications, and all applicable statutory and regulatory requirements. The QA Inspector is responsible for the content of the Inspection Test Plan (ITP) and project quality plan according to Customer’s and Flowserve’s designated specifications and international standards. The QA Inspector reports directly to the QA/QC Manager.

Responsibilities:

Complete inspections per detailed inspection plans or Customer Plant StandardsComplete final inspections prior to customer deliveryDocumenting non-conforming material utilizing the NCR processReview RTB job bins to confirm all parts are present and accurate for AssemblyCoach technicians with assembly/technicial questionsCoordinate product trainings for assembly technicians and teardown techniciansWork overtime when needed to process final inspections on outgoing valves, including extended workdays, weekends, and holidaysAdditional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Capable of reading and interpreting mechanical machining and assembly drawingsDemonstrated ability to read and interpret bills of materials, parts lists, and material specificationsAbility to review, analyze and disposition non-conforming materialFamiliarity with and good working knowledge of Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to lift 40 pounds using proper lifting equipment and perform duties while standing for extended periods of time

Preferred Experience/Skills:

Control valve and actuator experience preferred, Fisher, Valtek, Argus and Kammer product lines a plusKnowledge of the established quality standards, laws and regulations of national and international authoritiesMust have knowledge of inspection equipment generally found in machining, assembly, and test operationsFlexible, eager to learn, attention to detail, analytical with a positive, can-do attitudeGood interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), analytical, and presentation skillsProblem solving skillsOperational excellence and high level of customer service standardHS Diploma / GED and 5-7 years of relevant experience
