QA Automation Lead - Vice President - QA Engineering
Profile Description
We’re seeking someone to join our team as Vice President. The ideal candidate will perform software quality assurance testing across banking product domains and is proficient with various automation tools and techniques. The individual should be highly experienced with functional testing, possess good automation testing skills, and take ownership of items independently while tracking to closure. The candidate will liaise with global teams to understand requirements, create test cases (e.g., unit, component, multi-component), as well as automate and deliver projects. The position requires attention to detail, coupled with ownership, to ensure the delivery of high-quality applications.
WM Technology
Wealth Management Technology is responsible for the design, development, delivery, and support of the technical solutions behind the products and services used by the Morgan Stanley Wealth Management Business. Practice areas include Analytics, Intelligence, & Data Technology (AIDT), Client Platforms, Core Technology Services (CTS), Financial Advisor Platforms, Global Banking Technology (GBT), Investment Solutions Technology (IST), Institutional Wealth and Corporate Solutions Technology (IWCST), Technology Delivery Management (TDM), User Experience (UX), and the CAO team.
WM Product Technology
Wealth Management Banking Technology is a dynamic and fast-paced area within the Firm’s WM Technology Division. We are responsible for creating innovative technology solutions for the Private Banking Group (PBG), one of the strategic growth areas of the Firm, providing cash management and lending products and services to our WM clients. GBT offers technology solutions for bank’s Investment Portfolio, a multi-billion fixed income trading desk dealing across multitude of asset classes. QA Engineering
This is Vice President position that devises test strategies, conducts and/or coordinates tests, and identifies defects to maintain high standards of performance and reliability.

What you’ll do in the role:
Work on QA processes for Banking workstream(s) with heavy focus on execution of automation across the Bank Product Domains dealing with various automation tools and techniques.
Lead/work as part of a Banking Agile Squad/Fleet.
Write utilities, as needed, to automate manual steps/processes.
Contribute to Automation Frameworks and automate testcases ensuring comprehensive automation coverage.
Lead and contribute in various initiatives/deliverables
Actively contribute and participate in design and architecture discussions, and Agile Sprint planning sessions.
Demonstrable experience in automation technologies including Selenium, Protractor, UFT, Junit, Gherkin, JMeter etc and scripting languages including Peal, Python and/or Java.
Experience in services/API testing and automation.
In-depth knowledge of test management software (e.g. ALM, Jira, qTest, Zephyr).
Proficiency in usage of SQL queries for databases or large datasets.
Expertise in working with XML, XSLT and SOAP, and JSON formats.
Working in the Agile development methodologies, collaborating with business and technology teams located globally.
What you’ll bring to the role:
10-15 years of hands-on QA experience.
At least 6 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role
B. Tech or MCA degree.
Practical experience with Automation (DevOps) testing and coding skills.
Hands-on programming experience in languages like Java Script / Type Script
Hands-on Test automation Framework development
Strong SQL experience with various databases.
Practical knowledge of one automation tool (Cypress, Playwright etc.).
Practical experience with Agile Methodology
Lead team from front and possess effective communication skills to work effectively in a global team.
Desired Skills
Working knowledge of kafka & cloud-based application architecture and principles.
Prior experience working in the Financial Services Industry
