Role Overview:
At TP ICAP we have a number of client facing technology platforms providing a variety of user and electronic interfaces which our clients use to communicate their trading requirements with the various brands and divisions of the organisation. The Client Facing Technology Automation QA Analyst is responsible for the software quality standard of the Client Facing Technology services.
It is imperative that the software we develop is tested and fit for release into Production. Our client Facing Technology is the backbone of our Electronic business and as such it requires rigorous functional and performance testing. The Automation QA Analyst is central to ensuring the quality of our software. This role will include ongoing automated testing, making enhancements to the existing automated testing framework.
Role Responsibilities:
Design, write, execute and maintain automated test cases
Maintain and enhance existing automation tests and framework
Produce test cases, test scripts, and test data based requirements.
Take the product functional specifications, and the software requirements specifications, and to estimate the work involved within the testing cycle of each product.
Ensure that the testing produces a high level of quality for the product releases.
Identify and effectively document issues found, and track those issues through internal defect tracking tools.
Give guidance and support to internal support functions through the project lifecycle.
Liaise with product owner, development team and project managers on all aspects of testing.
Liaise with support teams and off shore US development teams.
Report on the status of QA to project stakeholders.
Able to conduct internal demonstration to stakeholders.
Fulfil additional / ad hoc duties as requested in order to meet the needs of the business
Experience / Competences:
Essential
5+ years of experience in automated testing in a global financial services company or vendor using Cucumber / Gherkin / Selenium / FIX4J
5+ years of experience and knowledge of FX products and instruments including FIX protocol and market data
Proficiency with computer technologies including Linux, SQL, Messaging & Distributed Systems
Experience and knowledge of SaFe Agile or Agile methodology
Able to work independently, and take ownership in ensuring high-quality products for end users
Knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
Desired:
Knowledge of non–functional testing
Experience of delivering platforms and services across multiple teams
Experience of clouds services such as AWS and continuous integration tools such as Jenkins and GitLab Ci/CD
