What you will do:

Must be able to perform QA reviews between 5-10% of the current volume per monthThe role requires the ability to provide detailed feedback to the Auditing team, to include guideline and overlay references and respond during the feedback process in a professional and detailed mannerThis role will assist in the Baker Tilly test file process in various capacities (review and oversight)This role requires in-depth knowledge of the Quality Control function with regards to FNMA, FHLMC, FHA/VA, USDA requirementsThe QA Specialist should be well versed in performing and reviewing Pre and Post Close reviews, Repurchase reviews, Early Payment Default and Red Flag/ Fraud Reviews The QA Specialist must be knowledgeable in both state and federal regulatory requirements for real estate lending, must understand how to assess the accuracy, reliability, and appropriateness of each documentUnderstands the quality control needs of the organization and that of our ClientsWill assist the management team in Auditor training as required; development and maintenance of employee scorecard and performance standards for the Quality Control DepartmentAssist in drafting and maintaining quality control policies and proceduresDocument and maintain the QA reporting records and provide monthly reports to managementAssist in investigating and reviewing client oversight itemsAnalyze data to identify areas for improvement in the quality control departmentAssist in developing, recommending and monitoring corrective and preventive actionsprepare reports to communicate outcomes of quality activitiesAssist in identifying training needs based on scorecard issuesProactively determine areas of additional focus for QA regarding specific auditors and/or clients

Successful candidates will have:

10 years of mortgage underwriting and/or quality control experienceMust have the ability to review and convey QC results in relation to agency/corporate policy, investor/agency, regulatory, and procedures and guidelinesExtensive understanding of Processing, Underwriting, Closing, and Post-Closing processesFull understanding of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and VA/FHA/USDA guidelines and overlaysMust be able to perform research and be able to analyze financial statements/documents, complex tax returns, and be able to interpret findingsExperience in report management including database reportingAdvanced computer skills with Microsoft Office - Excel and utilization of various computer software systemsOrganized, high attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, and proficient in time management are required

The compensation range for this role is $61,260  to $116,160 . Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
