We are seeking someone to join Observability Logging Squad as a Python Developer in ETS – Application Infrastructure to expand our Loki deployment, improve our deployment pipeline, and support internal users of our products.

What you’ll do in the role:
Configure and manage Loki deployments in Kubernetes at scale
Develop and maintain Python libraries, scripts, Flask apps, and more
Gather acceptance criteria, refine user stories, design solutions, and deliver results with our squad
Work with Loki, Grafana, Fluentbit, Splunk, Kafka, and other technologies that process many TBs of data every day
Work closely with a cross functional team to design new features and resolve issues as they arise
What you’ll bring to the role:
4 years of extensive experience with Python
Experience in writing custom classes and knowledge of packaging libraries
Experience writing unit tests and using patching/mocking
Familiarity with common stdlib and open-source libraries
Experience with REST APIs, working with large data streams, and concurrent
processing
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Prior experience in working with Git with a pull request workflow, using Jira or similar
systems for tracking work
Ability to use regular expressions to extract data from log files or other text
Comfortable interacting with internal users / stakeholders
Proficient in a Unix/Linux CLI environment
Strong written/verbal communication skills and presentation skills
