Lead I - Semiconductor Product Validation

The Opportunity:

UST is seeking a Python Automation Engineer to support validation activities for semiconductor hardware and software platforms. This role involves creating test automation frameworks, writing scalable Python scripts, and collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams to drive validation quality.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Develop Python-based automation scripts to validate hardware platforms, firmware, BIOS, and drivers.

·       Integrate automation with CI/CD pipelines and test execution systems.

·       Execute validation workflows, collect logs, and perform triage on test failures.

·       Support test environment setup, configuration, and debugging across Windows and Linux systems.

·       Collaborate with validation, development, and tools teams to improve coverage and efficiency. • Maintain and optimize reusable test frameworks and libraries.

·       Document test results, create defect reports, and track issues to closure.

Required Skills:

·       Strong proficiency in Python scripting for automation

·       Familiarity with hardware validation workflows (firmware/BIOS/driver).

·       Experience with Linux/Windows OS and system-level testing. • Knowledge of tools like Jenkins, Git, Jira, Confluence.

·       Ability to interpret logs and troubleshoot system-level issues.

Desired Skills:

·       Exposure to semiconductor validation or embedded systems.

·       Experience with Robot Framework, PyTest, or similar test frameworks.

·       Basic understanding of system buses (PCIe, USB, I2C) or hardware interfaces

Qualification:

·       Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or related field.

·       3–5 years of relevant experience in automation or validation engineering.
