What you'll do...

Powertrain & Underbody PVT Supervisor R&Rs are embedded in the following Ford processes and procedures:

FAP03-005 Current Model Concern Prioritization & Resolution, FAP07-004 Corrective and Preventive Actions,  FAP02-053 Variability Reduction Team Procedure, FAP03-109 Concern Reporting, Part Modification, and Product Changes (pertaining to SREAs),  FAP03-134 Vehicle Stop Ship or Vehicle Stop Build for Quality Reasons, and GQIP Global Quality Improvement Process.

 

You will have... 

Bachelor of Science in Engineering5+ years of experience in PD, Plant, Manufacturing, and/or QualityKnowledge of GSAR, BSAQ, RDM and other Quality ToolsHighly motivated and capable of leading x-functional resolution of quality issuesCapable of succinctly communicating issues/resolution to all levels of Leadership

Advance Degree in Engineering7+ years of experience in PD, Plant, Manufacturing, and/or Quality

Lead/Co Lead Roles for Powertrain and Underbody PVT:

Owns Functional Warranty quality objectives for the base function (R/1000 and CPU). Respond to plant/supplier issues before they leave assembly plants. Evaluate chronic and new warranty issues to push for cut off and resolution ASAP.LL6’s Co-Chair Variability Reduction Team (VRT) meetings at the Plant.Lead ECB Warranty binning and analysis.LEAD BSAQ and Problem Resolution for ECB Warranty (except Supplier Quality) communication and coordination with VFG/Plant/Others, author projects, manage implementation, calculate impact, handle warranty glide path forecast.

Support Roles

Support supplier and PD requests for component changes (SREA), run requested trialsSupport Major/Minor launch starting at LR with focus on Quality. Launch Team LeadsSupport Stop Ship and prevention - identify issues, coordinate subject matter experts, advise severity and next steps/containment, interface w CCRGSupport TVM. Verify the success of the assembly plant trialsPPAP completion is Site STATVM D&R owns the design and must sign off on PPAP with STA

Support in weekly Powertrain and Underbody Vehicle Function Group (VFG) subsystem Quality Meetings, weekly Functional Quality Reviews (FQR) with the Functional Chief Engineer, daily plant white board meetings to update Plant Leadership on all Functional quality initiatives, & Vehicle Quality Reviews (VQR).

Support plant FTT, IQ and High Hurts when design element is involved.
