Perform noninvasive Peripheral Vascular studies including (but not restricted to) arterial and venous duplex imaging with color flow Doppler, noninvasive arterial testing (pulse volume recordings/segmental limb pressures), visceral abdominal duplex imaging with color flow Doppler, extracranial duplex imaging with color flow Doppler, and other noninvasive vascular tests assigned.  This position works evenings from Monday to Friday with a weekend and holiday rotation.

Responsibilities:

Provide general information to patients and their significant others while performing vascular testing. Obtain detailed, accurate history on vascular patients. Display ability to troubleshoot problems with equipment and computer terminals and make minor repairs. Assist Director with daily operations of the Peripheral Vascular Lab. Under the supervision of the Director, participates in the planning and implementation of projects for improving Organizational Performance. Assist other staff members and hospital personnel in completion of needed tasks. Make patient care and/or interdepartmental service the number one priority. Obtain and calculate tracing, spectral analyses and analog waveforms for vascular tests. Enter data in computer and maintains data integrity. Participate in the training of new staff and students. Participate in continuing education within the department. Perform all studies offered in the Peripheral Vascular lab within six months of starting date. Maintain safety of vascular patients while in the department.
