**Job Title:** Part-Time PVL Technologist **Location:** UPMC Williamsport **Schedule:** Eight-hour shifts between 7:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., with rotating call for weekend coverage. **Sign-On Bonus:** This position is eligible for a $3,000 sign-on bonus with a two-year work commitment to UPMC. **Job Description:** UPMC is seeking a skilled and dedicated part-time PVL Technologist to join our team. The incumbent will perform noninvasive Peripheral Vascular studies, including but not limited to arterial and venous duplex imaging with color flow Doppler, noninvasive arterial testing (pulse volume recordings/segmental limb pressures), visceral abdominal duplex imaging with color flow Doppler, extracranial duplex imaging with color flow Doppler, and other assigned noninvasive vascular tests. This goal must be achieved within 6 months to 1 year of the starting date. Patient testing is performed on adolescent, geriatric, and adult patients. **Key Responsibilities:** + Display knowledge of Doppler and Ultrasound physics when performing vascular exams. + Provide general information to patients and their significant others while performing vascular testing. + Enter data into the computer and maintain data integrity. + Participate in the training of new technologists and students. + Engage in continuing education within the department. + Provide support to staff to ensure competency in all phases of vascular diagnostic services. + Obtain detailed, accurate history on vascular patients. + Display ability to troubleshoot problems with equipment and computer terminals and make minor repairs. + Assist other staff members and hospital personnel in completing needed tasks, prioritizing patient care and interdepartmental service. + Maintain safety of vascular patients while in the department. + Obtain and calculate tracings, spectral analyses, and analog waveforms for vascular tests. + Perform all studies offered in the Peripheral Vascular lab within twelve months of the starting date. Completion of formal training in an accredited Vascular Technology or Ultrasound program required or RVT or equivalent credential required **Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:** Registered or registry eligible with physics portion of registry obtained is preferred. Must obtain registry within 12 months of graduation date. CPR or BLS Required. Act 33, 34, 73 or as required by business unit. + Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) + Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) OR Registered Vascular Specialist OR Registered Vascular Technologist + Act 34 **UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran**
