Purchasing Specialist
Description We are looking for a skilled Purchasing Specialist to join our team in Merced, California. In this long-term contract role, you will play a pivotal role in managing procurement processes, ensuring compliance with regulations, and fostering strong relationships with vendors and stakeholders. Responsibilities: • Prepare and oversee procurement activities, including issuing solicitations and conducting small purchase processes in alignment with established procedures. • Draft, review, and finalize contracts for goods and services while ensuring compliance with procurement rules, policies, and procedures. • Act as the primary liaison with insurance brokers, vendors, and legal counsel to address contract development, regulatory compliance, and protest procedures. • Conduct project reviews and implement improvements to streamline procurement operations and enhance customer service quality. • Manage the preparation and organization of reports, records, and statistical documentation related to procurement activities. • Draft and publish public notices, memoranda, and addenda via the agency website, collaborating with internal teams to ensure accurate solicitation documentation. • Coordinate with administrators, personnel, and external organizations to resolve issues, exchange information, and respond to public inquiries regarding procurement processes.
