**Purchasing Specialist (4 Month Contract)**
**Location:** On-site – Thousand Oaks, CA 91362
**Schedule:** Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
**Pay:** $40-43.00p/h
**About the Role:**
We're seeking a detail-oriented **Purchasing Specialist** for a temporary, full-time assignment to support our supply chain and operations teams. This role will manage high-volume purchasing activities — including PO creation in SAP, vendor coordination, and issue resolution — across 13,000+ SKUs and 25 vendors.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Create and manage purchase orders in SAP
+ Work closely with vendors to ensure accurate pricing, on-time delivery, and resolution of issues (returns, non-conformance, etc.)
+ Collaborate daily with Supply Planning and Operations teams
+ Track orders, manage delays, and follow up on acknowledgments
+ Support vendor onboarding and maintain compliance with ISO/FDA procedures
+ Assist with RFPs, contract routing, and purchasing system updates (e.g., iBuy, Ariba, Coupa)
**What You Bring:**
+ 3+ years in purchasing, preferably in manufacturing or a regulated industry
+ Strong experience with SAP (required); Oracle or JD Edwards helpful
+ Comfortable managing high SKU volumes and multiple suppliers
+ Organized, personable, and able to work cross-functionally
+ Experience with procurement tools (e.g., Coupa, iBuy, Ariba) a plus
+ Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience accepted
