About the Role
Babcock is seeking a motivated Purchasing Officer to join our Capability Life Cycle Manager (CLCM) team based at Garden Island, NSW. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the vital fleet asset management services we provide to the Royal Australian Navy while becoming an integral part of a collaborative and innovative team.
In this role, you’ll support procurement activities that drive the success of Babcock and the CLCM Enterprise. Working closely with the Purchasing Lead, you’ll conduct market research, issue quotes, and raise purchase orders to ensure smooth operations. You’ll also engage with the Engineering and Maintenance teams to understand material requirements for ship availability, ensuring precision and efficiency in procurement processes.
As a Purchasing Officer, you’ll collaborate with suppliers and stakeholders across the Babcock and Commonwealth supply chains, ensuring seamless communication and productive partnerships. Your attention to detail will ensure that procurement information systems are accurately maintained to support timely and effective decision-making.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone ready to step into a key role supporting scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities and helping to replenish ADF inventory.
