Purchasing Manager
Description We are looking for a dynamic Purchasing Manager to join our team in Calabasas, California. This Contract-to-permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to manage procurement processes, optimize vendor relationships, and contribute to cost-saving initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in purchasing operations and demonstrate a commitment to maintaining quality and efficiency. Responsibilities: • Create and issue accurate purchase orders for production-related expenses, ensuring timeliness. • Process goods receipts for purchase orders to guarantee prompt financial recognition. • Resolve outstanding purchase transactions by performing reconciliations and ensuring timely follow-up. • Analyze spend data to identify opportunities for cost savings, focusing on production and operational expenditures. • Collaborate with operations, finance, and procurement teams to maintain clear communication and efficient purchasing practices. • Implement sourcing strategies and monitor vendor performance through KPIs to ensure compliance. • Negotiate with vendors to maintain high standards for product and service quality. • Submit required documentation for new vendor setups in a timely manner. • Build and nurture strong relationships with vendors, fostering mutually beneficial partnerships. • Take on special projects and tasks as assigned, with occasional travel as needed. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in purchasing or procurement roles. • Proficiency in managing purchase orders and ensuring accuracy. • Strong ability to develop and maintain vendor relationships. • Experience in reconciling financial transactions and resolving discrepancies. • Analytical skills to assess spend data and identify cost-saving opportunities. • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work across departments. • Knowledge of vendor compliance and performance tracking through KPIs. • Flexibility to handle special projects and travel when required.
