Responsible for all aspects of product procurement for OpCo to include, managing procurement team performance as measured by fill rates, inventory levels, and turns, dead and obsolete inventory, margin and cost of goods, Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) reduction or consolidation and supplier credits. Serve as a liaison to field for support on procurement issues. Directly responsible for managing several team members. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and performs any duty assigned to best serve the company.
Position Responsibilities: Supervises associates to include, but not limited to: staffing, training, coaching, performance management and problem resolution. Demonstrate a strong service quality commitment through personal example, and ensure all associates understand their individual roles in meeting or exceeding internal and external customer’s expectations.Ensure fill rates of 99.6% or higher while maintaining inventory targets set by the field.Reduce inventory write off exposure by managing dead, obsolete and overstocked products.Ensure product costs are correct and consistent. Maximize margin by managing cost of goods using current tools (i.e., 3% and Purchase Cost Variance reports.)Serve as a liaison between field and corporate.Assist in local product sourcing.Maximize turns and fill rates by utilizing inventory / purchasing computer systems completely and accurately.Performs other related duties as assigned.
