Purchasing Manager
As a Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for managing the planning, purchasing, and material management processes to ensure smooth and efficient production operations. This role requires a strategic approach, cross-functional collaboration, and proactive problem-solving to meet business objectives, optimize inventory levels, and maintain strong supplier relationships. You will work closely with supply chain, production, and logistics teams to ensure timely material availability while minimizing costs and waste. We look forward to seeing your application! **In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:** + Managing the **Purchasing Team** , ensuring their **development** and achievement of business objectives. + Ensuring **smooth material flow** while optimizing inventory levels in compliance with **customer, legal, and operational requirements** . + Monitoring and ensuring **on-time material deliveries** through appropriate **performance indicators** , supporting **Purchasing Specialists** in resolving supply issues. + Developing proactive **strategies** for business improvement, continuously refining forecasts in collaboration with the **S&OP Department** . + Collaborating with the **European/Global Supply Chain Team** to assess, implement, and optimize **inventory strategies** (MOQ levels, lead times, safety stock) and supply chain efficiency. + Managing **supply chain disruptions** by developing **contingency plans** and implementing **risk management strategies** . + Ensuring proper application of **company purchasing strategies** , including **ordering policies, ABCD management, and month-end closing processes** . + Closely cooperating with **production teams** to align **material planning** with production schedules and ensure effective communication with planning, logistics, and production teams. + Driving **continuous process improvement** and cost-saving initiatives. + Overseeing **indirect purchasing** for the facility, covering **operational and CAPEX purchases** , in line with company policies and strategies. + Participating in **budget planning** and overseeing budget utilization. + Ensuring compliance with workplace safety regulations, including: + Organizing workstations according to **health and safety standards** . + Ensuring proper maintenance and use of **protective equipment** . + Implementing accident prevention and workplace health measures. + Maintaining safe working conditions and enforcing compliance with **safety rules** . + Ensuring employees adhere to **health and safety recommendations** **Who You Are:** You are a leader who excels at achieving goals and has a keen analytical approach to problem-solving. Your proactive approach allows you to identify opportunities for improvement and drive **continuous optimization** . **For This Role, You Will Need:** + Minimum **3 years of leadership experience** in **material planning or purchasing in a production company.** + Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in **Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field** . + Experience in **purchasing and inventory management** within a **manufacturing or engineering environment** . + Strong **English language skills** (both written and spoken). + Proficiency in **Microsoft Office (Power BI)** and ERP systems ( **SAP, MRP, APS** ). + Strong **analytical and mathematical skills** , with a **data-driven decision-making** approach. + Professional and reliable communication with **customers and suppliers** . + Strong **multitasking skills** with the ability to **manage large amounts of information** effectively. **Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:** + Additional **qualifications** (e.g., CPIM) are a plus. + Knowledge of **forecasting methods** is an advantage. **Our Culture & Commitment to You:** At Emerson, we prioritize a workplace where every employee is valued, respected, and empowered to grow.
