SUMMARY
The Purchasing Intern will work cross-functionally across the division’s purchasing, operations, and engineering groups to develop and implement the procurement strategy of assigned goods and services from our global supply base. This individual will have a positive influence on the organization’s sourcing requirements through lean thinking, problem solving, negotiating, communicating and stakeholder leadership to meet the department, divisional, and corporate goals.
YOUR IMPACT
Assist in the areas of Strategic Purchasing, Global Sourcing, and Operations.Participate in strategic sourcing activities to include:1. Understanding commodity landscape.
2. Research and identify new potential sources.
3. Gather and compile necessary information to request quotes.
4. Analyze quotes and recommend sourcing plan.
5. Negotiate long term agreements.
Lead initiatives to improve delivery, quality, cost, and risk amongst supply chain.Sustain supplier partnerships by maintaining regular communication with supply base.Develop data analytics tool(s) to streamline decision-making capabilities.Provide support to Buyers and Purchasing Agents in the procurement of goods and services from suppliers.*Job duties will vary depending on business unit and location of internship
This internship is full-time, 40 hours per week, during the summer of 2026
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Student working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting/Finance, Operations Management, Economics, Industrial Engineering, or related field for entire duration of internship.Willing to travel or relocate to Dodge Center, MN for the Summer of 2026 (relocation assistance provided for those with a permanent address of greater than 50 miles from Dodge Center, MN)STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS

Pay Range:
$18.00 - $37.00The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
