We are seeking a Purchasing Intern to join our team in Liverpool. You will report directly to the Oceania Purchasing Manager and play a critical role within our procurement team. As a Purchasing Intern, you will focus on the Energy & Telecom Non-Raw Material (NRM) categories, providing vital support in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You’ll work closely with a team of talented procurement professionals and gain valuable exposure to a wide range of tasks and stakeholders.
This opportunity is ideal for someone who has recently graduated or is in the final year of studies, looking to gain experience in the purchasing field while also taking on junior office assistant duties. We’re looking for an Intern who is available to work 3 times a week
Contract Duration: 12 months
Key Responsibilities:
Enhance Procurement to Pay process alongside the Purchasing team.
Manage the creation of Purchase Order through the ERP system
Issue POs to Vendors and ensure confirmation for service and goods are accurately recorded and monitored in the ERP system
Manage deliveries and follow-up on the import process, connecting freight forwarders where necessary.
Ensure compliance with suppliers and internal departments for all specifications and payment terms, ensuring all invoicing authorization and clarification issues are adequately managed
Accurately maintain ERP price lists and contracts
Create and maintain codified items within the ERP system
Maintain Vendor performance log and effective documentation
Maintain Vendor approval systems and documentation, ensure the timely creation within ERP.
Assist in the completion and submission of monthly Purchasing reports.
Assist in the sourcing of products and services
Promote adherence to best practice policies and tracking of procurement budget initiatives
Train new employees and help will all ERP compliance and operating systems

Strong IT and Excel skills
Strong analytic skills
Ability to work both with supplier and stakeholders effectively
Enthusiastic to pursue procurement objectives
Strong problem solving and data analysis
Ability to work with highly technical staff productively, eliciting buy-in of business initiatives and compliance to procurement policies
