Job Summary

The Purchasing Direct Supervisor will be reporting directly to Purchasing Direct Manager, will be responsible for overseeing activities related to the procurement of Direct materials, parts, components and equipment. Directs and coordinates activities of personnel engaged in procurement consistent with delivery requirements and quality specifications.

What a typical day looks like:

Prepares instructions regarding purchasing systems and procedures.Establishes goals for the purchasing department.Follow-up policies and procedures for the operation of procurement activities.Manage and guide a team of buyers and expeditors to meet procurement and supplier management goalsInterface with procurement groups in updating and maintaining the company procurement strategiesImplement processes with suppliers to improve on-time delivery and Purchase Price VarianceHelping implementation of Vendor Managed Inventory modelsSupervise the team in the management of the supply chain to achieve continuous, timely supply of parts and servicesApproves purchase orders and change notices through subordinates.Reviews purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy.Ensures continuity of raw material supply to help production schedules and balances with achieving inventory level targets.Investigates inventory levels. Helps process to manage excess and obsolete material.Conduct supplier performance reviews and help the team to maintain supplier consistency on time delivery and implement processes with suppliers to ensure on time delivery and quality of product/serviceKeep senior management informed of present/future trends in availability and cost of materials, components, and equipmentMonitors on-time supplier deliveries, inventory turns, MRP execution, Purchase Price Variance, processing time reduction, supplier performance, and cost investigation.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

BA/BS or equivalent work experience.Experience in a similar position.Purchasing Analyst experience.Fluent English.Advanced Excel.Schedule availability.Personnel Management.Strong Experience in efficient control.Strong organizational and time management skills.Experience with Databases such as Kinaxis is a plus.
