Description
We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Purchasing Coordinator to join our team in Carpinteria, California. This role involves managing purchasing activities, supporting financial operations, and ensuring the smooth process of the financial and administrative departments. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and experience in finance and purchasing.
Responsibilities:
+ Execute, review, and reconcile financial operations transactions, such as paperwork processing, timely investments, and fund transfers.
+ Ensure the accuracy and completeness of transactions, promptly resolving discrepancies.
+ Reconcile daily financial processing activities.
+ Investigate and address discrepancies in account balances.
+ Stay updated on financial regulations and internal policies to ensure all department activities comply with regulatory requirements.
+ Assist in preparing documentation for audits and regulatory reviews.
+ Engage with internal clients to address account-related inquiries and issues.
+ Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries, escalating complex cases to senior team members as needed.
+ Propose process improvements to boost efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
+ Participate in team discussions to implement best practices.
+ Identify and report risks related to financial transactions or operations, collaborating with risk management teams to mitigate them.
+ Maintain organized and accurate records of financial transactions, agreements, and client interactions.
+ Prepare and update procedural documents.
+ Generate and analyze basic operational reports for senior team review.
+ Use financial and departmental software effectively for daily tasks.
+ Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance system capabilities.
+ Collaborate with internal and external colleagues to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
+ Assist with the training and mentorship of junior team members.
+ Contribute to the successful completion of organizational projects and initiatives
Requirements • Proven experience in purchasing or procurement roles.
• Familiarity with purchase order processes and materials management.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to analyze data and identify trends for cost optimization.
• Proficiency in relevant software and tools used in purchasing activities.
• Knowledge of procurement policies and regulations.
