Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Purchasing Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role involves reviewing and processing purchase orders in Sage 300, sourcing and negotiating with vendors, and maintaining vendor records to ensure compliance with company procurement policies. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in managing inventory, supporting accounts payable, and utilizing Sage 300 for system reporting and analysis.
ResponsibilitiesReview and process purchase orders using Sage 300.Source and negotiate with vendors to achieve cost-effective purchasing.Monitor order status and follow up on delayed or incomplete deliveries.Maintain vendor records and ensure adherence to company procurement policies.Track inventory levels and reconcile discrepancies.Conduct regular audits and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.Collaborate with warehouse and operations teams to forecast inventory needs.Implement inventory control procedures to minimize waste and overstock.Match purchase orders with invoices and delivery receipts.Assist in processing vendor payments and resolving invoice discrepancies.Coordinate with the finance team to ensure timely and accurate accounts payable entries.Maintain organized records for audits and financial reporting.Utilize Sage 300 for data entry, reporting, and analysis.Generate reports on purchasing trends, inventory turnover, and vendor performance.Recommend process improvements based on data insights.Essential SkillsProven experience in purchasing, inventory management, or accounts payable.Proficiency in Sage 300 or similar ERP systems.Strong analytical and organizational skills.Excellent communication and vendor negotiation abilities.Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in consumer product or manufacturing environments.Detail-oriented mindset.Great communication skills.Work Environment
The position is based onsite every day at our KCK office, located in an industrial area. Candidates must be comfortable with this setting and are required to wear closed-toe shoes daily. Our company is growing rapidly, having expanded from $5 million to $32 million in revenue over five years, offering a close-knit and flexible work environment.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr.
