Description Job Overview: We are seeking a meticulous and resourceful Purchasing Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials, equipment, and services necessary for our operations. The ideal candidate will excel at vendor management and possess strong analytical and organizational skills to ensure optimal supplier relationships and cost efficiencies. Key Responsibilities: + Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to procure goods and services that meet the company’s quality and cost requirements. + Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure on-time delivery and resolve supply chain issues. + Analyze market trends, pricing, and supply chain logistics to optimize purchase strategies. + Monitor inventory levels and forecasts to maintain appropriate stock levels while avoiding overages or shortages. + Prepare and issue purchase orders and ensure compliance with company procurement policies. + Collaborate with internal teams, including production, finance, and quality assurance, to align procurement strategies with company goals. + Track and manage supplier performance and report metrics to ensure accountability and continuous improvement. + Assist in budget preparation and manage cost-saving initiatives in procurement processes. + Resolve discrepancies between purchase orders, invoicing, and deliveries. Requirements Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field. + years of proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management. + Strong negotiation skills and understanding of contract terms. + Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel). + Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills. + Familiarity with industry-specific purchasing requirements (e.g., manufacturing, retail, etc.) is a plus. + Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) or similar certifications is advantageous but not required.
