Purchasing Assistant Job Description **_Are you detail-oriented, organized, and ready to support a dynamic procurement team? We’re looking for a Purchasing Assistant to provide essential administrative and communication support to our Category Manager. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy working collaboratively, we’d love to hear from you!_** **What is the job about? **   In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring smooth operations across Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) and Strategic Sourcing (STS) processes. You’ll work hand-in-hand with the Category Manager to coordinate projects, monitor compliance, and maintain supplier data. Your contributions will help ensure that procurement goals are met through strong internal coordination and productive external partnerships. **Your main responsibilities:** + Assist the Category Manager with data analysis, supplier negotiations, contract preparation, and scheduling. + Create and manage e-sourcing events, and support evaluation and decision-making processes. + Monitor supplier performance and follow up on improvement initiatives and risk assessments. + Coordinate communication between internal teams, suppliers, and the Category Manager. + Organize supplier meetings and manage administrative tasks such as sample orders and investment reports. + Ensure suppliers have access to necessary portals, specifications, and documentation updates (ECM). + Support the rollout of digital tools and platforms like EDI, EcoVadis, and ARIBA at supplier level. **Your background:** + Relevant supply chain or business education (apprenticeship, associate degree, or equivalent). + Some years of experience in a similar purchasing or sourcing role. + Strong communication skills and fluency in English. + Knowledge of procurement best practices, systems, and tools. + Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a global matrix environment + Analytical and detail-oriented with a proactive mindset. + Strong relationship builder and team player. + Comfortable in following procedures and delivering results. + Comfortable working with data, contracts, and supplier performance metrics. **What’s in it for you?** What are your goals?
