What You'll Do

As the Purchasing and Production Control Manager, you will oversee the purchasing of materials and the planning, scheduling, and execution of production activities. Your key responsibilities will include:

Negotiating with suppliers, sourcing materials, and ensuring timely delivery of raw materials and other production necessities.Creating and managing production schedules, optimizing resource allocation, and ensuring on-time deliveries to meet customer requirements.Monitoring stock levels, implementing inventory control measures, and maintaining optimum inventory levels.Predicting future demand and coordinating production to meet those needs.Collaborating with other departments such as engineering, quality assurance, and sales to align production with overall business objectives.Identifying and implementing cost-saving measures throughout the purchasing and production process.Addressing issues related to material supply, production delays, or quality concerns.Leading and supporting team members in the purchasing, planning, material handling, and scheduling functions.Ensuring adherence to safety regulations and quality standards in all aspects of production and inventory.

What You'll Need

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.7+ years of experience and knowledge of purchasing, inventory management, supply chain logistics, and production planning.Experience with ERP systems and related software, preferably Infor XA and Microsoft Dynamics 365.A bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., engineering, business administration) or relevant experience in Purchasing and Production Control.
