Yes Employment Category Regular Job Summary This recruitment will be used to fill one full-time Purchasing Analyst 1 position for the Procurement, Contracts and Materials Management ( PCMM ) department at Oregon State University ( OSU ). The Purchasing Analyst 1 in the Procurement team collaborates with departments across the organization to help them navigate the policies and processes of buying everyday goods and services that follow the rules while also meeting their unique needs. Success in this role comes from being curious, thoughtful, and solution oriented. The Purchasing Analyst 1 will use research and analytical skills to explore options, think creatively, and find smart ways to support end users. Being clear, inclusive, and helpful are key to this role. Procurement, Contracts and Materials Management ( PCMM ) operates within the Senior Associate Vice President of Administration’s division, which reports to Oregon State University’s Division of Finance and Administration ( DFA ). The DFA supports the university’s strategic priorities through sound financial management and strong internal controls, in alignment with OSU’s Strategic Plan,Prosperity Widely Shared. PCMM plays a key role in helping the university use its resources wisely and responsibly. The Procurement, Contract Services, and Construction Contract Administration units provide guidance, support, and oversight to colleges and departments for their purchasing and contracting needs. Other PCMM units contribute to OSU’s operational effectiveness and sustainability. Campus Recycling manages waste reduction efforts through recycling, reuse, and responsible disposal. Surplus Property redistributes university-owned items to departments, government agencies, nonprofits, and the public. Campus Mailing and Shipping handles the daily collection and delivery of mail and packages. Motor Pool provides a fleet of rental vehicles to support university and government-related travel. Key Responsibilities Contract Management & Administration (40%) Procurement Management (25%) Procurement Support Services (25%) Other Duties (10%) What We Require One year of full-time procurement experience which must include using procurement practices, procedure, and techniques such as determining specifications, placing purchase orders, and processing requisitions AND a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or closely related field OR three more years of relevant experience. Working Conditions / Work Schedule Work environment is in an indoor office setting interacting with computer programs accessed through both local system, VPN , and web for extended periods of time. Work location is hybrid between work from home and in office location on the Corvallis campus. Schedule is 8 am to 5 pm, PST , Monday through Friday.
