Description We are looking for a dedicated Purchasing Agent to join our team in Centennial, Colorado. This role involves managing procurement processes efficiently, including coordinating orders, tracking shipments, and maintaining vendor relationships. As a long-term contract position, you will have the opportunity to contribute to streamlined purchasing operations and ensure the accuracy of order fulfillment. Responsibilities: • Process orders received through the company’s website and place purchase orders with vendors accordingly. • Update shipping dates on orders upon receiving vendor acknowledgments. • Record tracking information on purchase orders to ensure accurate delivery details. • Prepare and send bulk stock orders for various products, such as gloves, to vendors. • Match and batch invoices with purchase orders to maintain financial accuracy. • Collaborate with established vendors and handle repetitive order processes effectively. • Work closely with the current team member for initial training and knowledge transfer. • Monitor purchasing activities and ensure compliance with company standards and policies. Requirements • Proven experience in purchasing functions or related roles. • Familiarity with processing purchase orders and coordinating with vendors. • Ability to manage tracking information and maintain organized records. • Strong attention to detail in matching invoices to purchase orders. • Proficiency in handling repetitive tasks with accuracy and efficiency. • Excellent communication skills for vendor and team collaboration. • Ability to learn and adapt to established workflows and systems. • Experience in managing procurement tasks for a variety of materials is preferred.
