Purchasing Agent
**Hybrid – 2 days a week remote** Responsible for the purchasing and receiving of IT equipment, software, and systems to support the Purchasing, Lifecycle, Asset Management, Inventory, Deployments (PLAID) team. Controls the inventory for government owned equipment on the contracts ASM supports and follows proper procedures for compliance reporting and disposal. + Performs a variety of routine purchasing tasks for IT equipment, software, and systems to meet both contract and corporate requirements. + Perform accurate tracking and review of, and purchasing tasks related to, software and hardware maintenance renewals. + Researches equipment, repair parts, allowance, supply and inventory problems. + Creates, reviews, and edits purchase requisitions, obtains appropriate approvals based on procedural guidance, and partners with Accounting & Finance to request purchase orders and ensure timely processing of payments. + Responsible for routing, documenting, coordinating, and receiving shipments of IT equipment, software, and systems. + Audits freight bills and files claims against carriers for losses, damages and/or overcharges. + Assists with negotiating best vendor terms, pricing and delivery based on specific budget and schedule requirements. + Maintains project status reports and updates delivery schedules; keeps management informed if delivery conflicts arise. + In coordination with the Contract IT Operations team, perform yearly inventory audits of government owned equipment and/or coordinate and perform disposal procedures for identified equipment. **Minimum Qualifications** + HS Diploma, Associate’s Degree a plus. + 2-5 years of experience in IT equipment logistics, purchasing, and inventory management. **Other Job Specific Skills** + Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to negotiate with outside vendors. + Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. + Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite. + Detail-oriented and organized. **Compensation Ranges** Compensation ranges for ASM Research positions vary depending on multiple factors; including but not limited to, location, skill set, level of education, certifications, client requirements, contract-specific affordability, government clearance and investigation level, and years of experience. The compensation displayed for this role is a general guideline based on these factors and is unique to each role.
