Purchasing Agent
Description We are looking for an experienced Purchasing Agent to join our team in Medina, Ohio. This contract to permanent position is ideal for individuals who excel in procurement processes and vendor management while maintaining strong organizational and communication skills. If you have a background in manufacturing and expertise in administrative and purchasing support, we encourage you to apply. Responsibilities: • Manage purchasing activities, including sourcing, procurement, and order tracking. • Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure timely delivery and quality assurance. • Perform accurate data entry to maintain purchasing records and inventory systems. • Utilize QuickBooks for financial tracking and purchasing-related transactions. • Prepare reports and analyze data using advanced Excel functions to support decision-making. • Coordinate with internal teams to meet purchasing needs and resolve supply chain issues. • Conduct regular assessments of vendor performance and negotiate contracts as necessary. • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in all purchasing operations. • Support general administrative duties related to procurement and inventory control. • Assist in maintaining an organized and efficient purchasing system to optimize operations. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in purchasing or procurement roles. • Proficiency in QuickBooks and advanced Microsoft Excel functions. • Strong understanding of buying processes and vendor management. • Previous experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • High attention to detail and organizational abilities. • Ability to perform accurate data entry and maintain purchasing records. • Familiarity with general administrative tasks and procurement operations.
